We are now seeking a motivated Junior Digital Communications Consultant to support our Digital Communications Team in delivering high-quality work across a range of major EU policy areas including environment, energy, employment, education, agriculture, and industrial innovation.
This role is ideal for someone with early experience in digital communications who is eager to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced European consultancy environment.
The role will be based in Zagreb.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Digital Communications Consultant will support and contribute to:
Digital Campaign Delivery
- Assist in planning and implementing digital and social media campaigns across multiple platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).
- Support the development of content calendars, campaign messaging, and audience targeting strategies.
- Conduct day-to-day community management and monitor audience engagement trends.
Content Creation & Editorial Work
- Draft, proofread and edit digital content including social media posts, newsletters, website copy, scripts, email campaigns, and digital adverts.
- Assist with the creation of multimedia assets, coordinating with designers, videographers and external suppliers.
- Explore innovative and emerging content formats, including short-form video and interactive content.
Digital Tools & Analytics
- Set up and support the administration of social media and paid advertising accounts, including A/B testing and optimisation.
- Monitor campaign performance using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, YouTube Studio, social listening tools).
- Produce clear, data-driven reports and insights to inform clients and internal teams.
Project Coordination
- Assist with coordination across internal teams, subcontractors and external experts.
- Support all stages of the project management cycle, including planning, delivery, quality assurance and reporting.
- Help manage workflows, timelines, production processes and documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with partners, suppliers, and subject-matter experts to support content production and campaign execution.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal teams.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- University degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent command of English (C2 level, written and spoken).
- Demonstrated experience using digital and social media tools to engage online audiences (both organic and paid).
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
- Good understanding of digital platforms, trends, and emerging technologies in communications.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, or similar).
- Interest in EU affairs, strategic communications and project management.
Desirable
- Basic knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, native social analytics).
- Experience with paid digital advertising (Meta, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube).
- Understanding of accessibility standards and user-centred communication.
- Experience with creative tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, video editing apps).
- Awareness of AI-assisted content creation tools.
