What you will be doing

We are seeking a Junior Consultant to join our ‘Resilient Economies’ team in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The team consists of multi-cultural professionals from around the world. Our organisational structure is inspired by design centric leadership – a modern organisational set up that is rooted in design thinking. This approach fosters people-centric solutions and experiences, holds the key to driving innovation while maintaining structure. It attempts to strike the delicate balance between top-down direction and inspiration and bottom-up creativity and ownership. 

You will be part of the junior team working across work-winning, delivery market, people and knowledge development to ensure the portfolio can deliver its targets. You will work alongside our Senior teams who will support you in building the needed skills across our work streams.

As a Junior Consultant, you will collaborate within dynamic teams on a diverse range of projects tailored to meet our clients' needs. Your role will vary from tackling quantitative challenges to conducting in-depth qualitative analyses.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Conducting comprehensive research and consultancy tasks, including content and data analysis, to support the development of research and consultancy deliverables.
  • Producing high-quality written contributions for reports, presentations, and other research outputs to ensure clarity and impact.
  • Providing dedicated project management support to Project Leaders, ensuring project timelines and objectives are met effectively.
  • Assisting in crafting technical proposals for our key clients, enhancing our competitive edge.
  • Fostering strong working relationships across the organization to leverage and enhance opportunities for project acquisition and execution.
  • Organising and participate in team-building activities, including lessons learned sessions and company events, to promote a collaborative work environment.

What we will need from you

  • A university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics or related disciplines).
  • Exceptional quantitative and data analysis skills.
  • Strong qualitative research capabilities.
  • Passion for sustainable trade, industrial support and green transition
  • Excellent research and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
  • A positive team spirit along with strong organizational and proactive skills.
  • Relevant experience (such as university research, internships, or similar) in our sector is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with national or European policies is a plus.
  • High motivation coupled with strong communication and business development skills.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a benefit.
