About the Role(s):
With a global team of 650+ research and specialists delivering impactful work for a variety of clients, we are recruiting a new colleague/s to bring diverse talent to roles based in our Madrid office.
Specifically, our Policy and Research team is currently looking for one Junior Consultant or Consultant to join us to work on regional development, including the blue economy, and social policy research projects. This role involves the development of research methods, the implementation of projects, as well as work on proposals and report writing.
As you develop in the role, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects, for clients as diverse as the European Commission, the European Parliament and EU Agencies, as well as Spanish national and regional government departments. You will also contribute to Ecorys’ communication and outreach activities, including presentations at conferences and workshops. You will maintain a network of experts and partners and will collaborate with colleagues throughout Ecorys (e.g. in with Brussels, Rotterdam and UK offices).
As a Junior Consultant/Consultant, you will develop and apply your range of qualitative and quantitative research skills to a wide variety of tasks, including desk-based research, (e.g. literature reviews), data analysis, survey design and implementation, in-depth interviewing, focus groups, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis. You will also be required to support large and medium-scale technical assistance projects which serve to support public institutions the implementation of regional development programmes.
Ecorys is currently involved in a highly broad variety of regional development, and social policy assignments and evaluations. You will be able to delve deeper into your specific topics of interest and develop your competences in many areas such as regional development, use and evaluation of EU funds, labour market and employment, education and skills’ projects, research and innovation and gender studies.
You will have the opportunity to grow your client facing and business development skills by contributing to work winning activities. You may also be able to develop a specialisation in qualitative or quantitative methodologies, or thematic areas.
