Experienced Project Manager - EU Policy

What you will be doing

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Brussels. You will manage a large-scale project implemented for the European Commission. 

More specifically, as a Project Manager, you can expect to:

  • Lead and coordinate all phases of the project, planning activities and setting clear milestones.
  • Oversee project budgeting, timelines, quality assurance, and risk management to ensure delivery on commitments.
  • Liaise with stakeholders – including client representatives, external experts, and team members – to enable effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and update project documentation, including progress reports, deliverables, and policy recommendations.
  • Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and team coordination to maintain project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, implementing corrective actions and improvements as necessary.
  • Present findings, reports, and strategic advice to the client and external audience.

What we will need from you

  • You have a certified project management skills (PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2 or equivalent). 
  • You should have at least 7 years of professional experience in project coordination and management, including at least 5 years managing complex projects with several partners of at least EUR 300.000. This should include the ability to oversee project delivery according to the established work plan, processes and timelines and ensure quality control of the services delivered. 
  • You should prove to be client orientated and experienced in management teams of at least five people and in conflict resolution.
  • You have a very good command of English (Common European Framework for Reference for Languages, proficient user C1), you are a good communicator and able to present to wide audience. 
  • You have a university degree in one of the following area: environmental sciences, soil science, agri-food sector, spatial planning, business administration, project management, project monitoring and evaluation, knowledge systems.
